I am drawing ponies too, you know.
This is a present for my niece whose favorite character is Rainbow Dash. I haven't painted in such a long time and I only had one ratty brush. It was painful.

Excuse the awful scan quality oh dear god.

Yeah, scanners make the devil look like...not very bad.

Point is, scanners aren't nice.

Ah yes, one more for the pony bandwagon XD I haven't done any fanart yet but probabaly will one day XD

I didn't really care to do fanart because I find it really hard to draw ponies. But for my nieces, sure, I'll do just about anything.

Yeah, horses are hard to draw...even if ponies are sort of only barely horse like...sort of a horse crossed with a marshmallow

Oh no, not you too! This is like the flood of Homestuck art all over again, except now everyone's drawing a re-hashes of what used to be a great franchise. T_T It may be as bad as the boom of Nyan Cats that had taken DA by storm.

Oh well. I dunno why but I really liek that rainbow, it's really smooth.

Personally I hate the old ponies, save for the actual toys. The series was just sheer awful. C:
But I can see how the new series doesn't sit well with the g1 fans.

The toys were my favorite part of the old generation (still have loads of them sitting around somewhere), but I also liked the old cartoons, the ponies actually looked like ponies.
I didn't mind the new series and toys /so/ much until billions of fan art started poppig up, and all fan art looks the same because no one even draws the ponies in their own style, they draw the characters the way the characters are drawn in the cartoons, it's starting to drive me insane.
